The tragedy here lies in not just the conditions, but rather the measures that were not accounted for by Carnival Cruise Lines in preparing for such an urgent condition arising and not having an adequate remedy in order to accommodate the passengers in excess of 3,000 and the crew of over 1,000.
Carnival is solely responsible for the operating conditions on board the Triumph, and because of their negligence and lack of safety measures, thousands have gotten sick and were forced to suffer uninhabitable and deplorable conditions so extreme that many were forced to sleep on the decks of the Triumph.
The negligence on behalf of Carnival is inexcusable and should not be ignored!
